Daily Animal 8 - Coyote

Overall, a very nice piece.

The anatomy is really good. A lot of drawings of Canids the actual animal is hard to tell if it's a wolf or fox or coyote but this one, as soon as I saw it, I identified coyote. The shape of the head seems off a little off to me. I can't tell if it's the size of the muzzle or the position of the eye but something doesn't seem quite right.

For a speedpaint, the details in the animal are amazing. The claws and the paws as well as the fur just seem to add some details to the painting that are needed. It's part of what makes the drawing feel so real that the yawning is contagious.

My biggest complaints is this piece are the two black sections in the lower left and lower right of the picture. They are unnecessary and distract greatly from the subject.

Other than those two minor distractions it's an excellent piece. If this is what you do for a daily challenge, I'd love to see what you'd do with a lot of time. Very well done.
